I had an amazing experience with GT Auto Styling and Reza. They worked on my Porsche 718 Cayman GTS, and the PPF work far exceeded my expectations. It looks absolutely seamless, and the craftsmanship is truly impeccable. You can tell there is a lot of care, attention to detail, and pride put into the work. What I also really appreciated was Reza’s willingness to listen to my specific needs and find workaround solutions, especially with the rear badge. I was concerned about the badge sticking out after the PPF install, but Reza took the time to understand what I wanted and found a great solution to make sure it sat properly and looked clean. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the results. My Cayman looks incredible, and the quality of the work speaks for itself. I would highly recommend GT Auto Styling to anyone looking for top-tier PPF, tint, or detailing work.Posted on Google![]()

Choose the Right Tint Percentage
Visible Light Transmission (VLT) shows how much light passes through the glass. Lower percentages create a darker result. Remember that factory glass and tint film together determine the final VLT.
Very Light
Best for maximum visibility and UV protection, particularly for a light front-window appearance.
Maximum VisibilityLight
A light appearance, but the combined factory glass and film may not meet a front-window inspection benchmark.
Light AppearanceMedium
A popular GTA appearance; best used mainly on rear windows or with awareness of front-window compliance risk.
Popular Rear TintDark
Strong privacy that is generally more appropriate for rear passenger and cargo-area windows.
Rear PrivacyVery Dark
Maximum rear-window privacy and not recommended for windows beside the driver because night visibility is reduced.

GT Auto Styling can explain the difference between common tint choices and inspection-friendly options before installation. The vehicle owner remains responsible for Ontario compliance.
Ontario Window Tint Laws and Front-Window Visibility
Ontario requirements cannot be summarized with one universal tint-film percentage. Front visibility, factory glass and final VLT all matter.
The windshield and windows directly beside the driver must not obstruct the driver’s view or substantially prevent others from seeing inside the vehicle. Ontario passenger-vehicle safety inspection guidance uses 70% Visible Light Transmission as a benchmark for windows beside the driver.
Final VLT is the combined result of factory glass and the film applied to it. A tint film labelled 70%, 50% or 35% does not automatically equal the final VLT of the completed window.
How Dark Tint Affects Night Visibility
Darker tint provides more privacy, but it also allows less visible light to reach the driver. This can make pedestrians, cyclists, curbs and vehicles harder to see through side windows and mirrors on poorly lit roads.
Rain, wet pavement and dark highways can make this limitation more noticeable. Drivers who frequently travel at night should prioritize visibility instead of maximum darkness for windows beside the driver.
Does Ceramic Tint Interfere With Vehicle Signals?
XPEL nano-ceramic window tint uses non-metallic technology to reject heat without the signal concerns associated with some older metallic films. It is suitable for modern vehicles that depend on wireless connectivity.
Auto Window Tinting for Tesla, Luxury Cars, SUVs & Daily Drivers
We work carefully around door panels, glass edges, sensitive interiors and modern vehicle electronics. Whether you drive an EV, luxury vehicle, SUV, pickup truck or daily commuter, we recommend film and coverage based on your needs.
Full rear-glass coverage should always be confirmed before installation, especially on vehicles with larger curved rear glass.
Vehicles We Commonly Tint
When full rear-glass coverage is selected, the large rear window can be tinted with one continuous piece of film for a clean result without a visible seam across the rear view.
How Long Does Window Tint Installation Take?
Most full-vehicle tint packages at our Markham shop are completed within 2 to 3 hours, allowing most customers to drop off and pick up their vehicle on the same day.
Timing depends on the number and shape of the windows, selected film and whether old tint needs to be removed. Larger or more complex glass may require additional preparation.
Call for an Installation EstimateWhat to Expect After Window Tint Installation
Window tint needs time to cure and fully bond to the glass. Follow these basic steps to protect the new film during its first days.
Keep Windows Closed
Avoid lowering windows for 2–3 days in warm weather and 3–5 days in colder weather. Opening them too early can lift or fold the upper film edge.
Temporary Haze Can Be Normal
Small water pockets, haze or cloudiness can appear while moisture cures. Warm sunlight helps, while cold or cloudy conditions may take longer.
Do Not Press Bubbles
Do not press, puncture or scrape the film while it cures. Contact us if large bubbles, creases or lifting edges remain after curing.
After curing, use an ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges, paper towels, razor blades and sharp scrapers around film edges or rear defroster lines.

Window Tint FAQs
Answers about installation time, Ontario visibility, curing, ceramic tint and rear defroster lines.
How long does the installation take?
Most full-vehicle tint installations take approximately 2 to 3 hours. Vehicles requiring old-film removal or additional glass preparation may take longer, but most customers can collect their vehicle on the same day.
Is window tint legal in Markham and Ontario?
Window tint is permitted in Ontario, but the windshield and windows beside the driver must not obstruct visibility or substantially obscure the vehicle’s interior. Ontario safety inspection guidance uses 70% total VLT as a benchmark for front-side windows. Common use of darker front-window shades does not automatically make them compliant.
Can ceramic tint help reduce EV energy use?
Ceramic tint reduces solar and infrared heat entering the cabin. In warm weather, that can help the vehicle cool down faster and reduce the initial air-conditioning load.
How long should I keep my windows closed after tinting?
Keep tinted windows closed for approximately 2 to 3 days in warm weather and 3 to 5 days during colder weather. Lowering them before the adhesive cures may cause the film to lift or fold along the upper edges.
Are bubbles and haze normal after window tinting?
Small pockets of water and temporary haze can be normal during curing. They usually improve within several days, although complete curing may take two to four weeks in cold or cloudy conditions. Large bubbles, creases or lifting edges should be inspected by the installer.
Can window tint damage rear defroster lines?
Professional installation should not damage rear-window defroster lines or integrated antennas. Greater care is required when removing old film because aggressive scraping or pulling may damage sensitive components.
How should I clean tinted windows?
After the film has cured, clean the inside of the glass with an ammonia-free cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges, paper towels, razor blades, sharp scrapers and strong pressure around the film edges.
